Composition
Each capsule contains amoxicillin sodium 500mg.
Product Description
Ibiamox is a broad-spectrum antibiotic available in capsule form.
Each box contains twelve capsules.
Indications for Use
Ibiamox is used for the treatment of a range of bacterial infections in adults and children.
Ibiamox may be prescribed for:
infections of the ear, nose, and throat;
infections of the lungs and respiratory tract;
infections of the stomach and intestines;
infections of the skin and soft tissues;
infections of the urinary tract and reproductive organs;
other infections, including Lyme disease (an infection transmitted by ticks);
prevention of inflammation of the inner lining of the heart resulting from bacteria entering the bloodstream during procedures such as tooth extraction.
Method of Administration and Dosage
Ibiamox should be taken as prescribed by the physician.
Dosage depends on the type and severity of infection as well as patient age and weight.
Contraindications
Ibiamox must not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to amoxicillin or other penicillins, or in those with a history of severe allergic reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment.
Patients should be monitored for allergic reactions during treatment.
Adverse Reactions
The most common side effects include gastrointestinal upset such as nausea and diarrhea, as well as allergic reactions such as rash or urticaria.
Rarely, severe reactions such as anaphylaxis may occur.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Ibiamox should only be used during pregnancy or lactation if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician.
Storage Conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C in a dry place.
Keep out of reach of children.
