Suprax 100 mg/5 ml is granules for oral suspension containing the cephalosporin antibiotic cefixime, supplied in a 60 ml bottle for reconstitution before use.

Cefixime shows marked bactericidal activity in vitro against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms and is highly stable in the presence of beta-lactamase enzymes, making it useful for acute infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including upper respiratory tract infections such as otitis media, lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis, and urinary tract infections including cystitis and uncomplicated pyelonephritis.
