Zithrokan 200 mg/5 ml is a powder for oral suspension containing the macrolide antibiotic azithromycin, supplied in a 15 ml bottle for reconstitution before use.

Azithromycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against a range of bacteria, commonly used for infections of the respiratory tract, ENT organs, and skin and soft tissues. It is also indicated for uncomplicated genital infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, covering conditions such as bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, sinusitis, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, otitis media and skin infections.
How to Use
Reconstitute as directed by your pharmacist, then take once daily, with or without food, for the full course prescribed by your doctor.

Precautions
Complete the full course even if symptoms improve early. Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to azithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics, and inform your doctor of any liver conditions or other medications you take.

Store the powder below 25°C; after reconstitution, keep the suspension as directed on the label and discard any unused portion after the stated period.
