Overview
Mounjaro 5 mg is a prefilled injection pen containing tirzepatide, a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist for adults with type 2 diabetes.
Key Benefits
Helps improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antihyperglycemic agents, and supports weight reduction and metabolic health. It is also being investigated for obesity management.
How to Use
Administered by subcutaneous injection once weekly into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. The starting dose is 2.5 mg per week, with gradual escalation up to 5-15 mg according to tolerance and clinical response, as directed by your physician.

Tirzepatide 5 mg per dose.
Precautions
Not recommended for individuals with hypersensitivity to tirzepatide, a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2. There is a risk of thyroid tumors; watch for symptoms of pancreatitis, and it is not recommended for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
