Overview
Ozempic 0.25 mg is a pre-filled pen containing semaglutide, a GLP-1 analogue for adults with type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise alone do not control blood sugar.
Key Benefits
Semaglutide mimics a natural hormone released after eating, lowering blood sugar only when it is too high, by stimulating insulin release, reducing glucagon release, and slowing stomach emptying to support appetite control. In adults with type 2 diabetes and known heart disease, it has also been shown to lower the risk of major cardiovascular events such as heart attack or stroke.
How to Use
Administered by subcutaneous injection using the pen, once weekly, with the dose set by your physician.

Precautions

Storage
Store in a refrigerator between 2–8°C; do not freeze. Once in use, keep the pen as directed on the label, away from heat and light, and out of reach of children.
