Product Description
The drug belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group of medicines for the treatment of diabetes — dipeptidyl peptidase‑4 (DPP‑4) inhibitors.
Linagliptin blocks the DPP‑4 enzyme, which destroys incretin hormones GLP‑1 and GIP.
These hormones stimulate insulin secretion and reduce glucagon secretion, thereby improving glycemic control.
Linagliptin reversibly and effectively binds to DPP‑4, increasing the level of active incretins and contributing to the normalization of glucose homeostasis.
Indications for use
Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
Monotherapy in cases of intolerance or contraindications to metformin.
Combination therapy with other antidiabetic agents, including insulin, when glycemic control is insufficient.

Recommended dose: 5 mg once daily.
