Composition
Calcium acetate — 700 mg (per tablet).
Excipients
Collidon K30, Avicel, Aerosil, talc, magnesium stearate.
Product Description:
Markal is a calcium preparation that restores a positive calcium balance.
It binds and absorbs phosphorus from the gastrointestinal tract, thereby reducing serum phosphorus levels.
The drug is used to prevent complications associated with hyperphosphatemia and to replenish calcium deficiency.
Indications for use
Hyperphosphatemia;
Calcium deficiency;
Osteoporosis;
Reduction of kidney disease risk due to excess phosphates;
Acute and chronic renal failure (including patients on dialysis, when dietary phosphorus restriction is insufficient and phosphate‑binding agents are prescribed).
Method of administration and dosage
Adults: 1–2 tablets daily with meals.
Course duration: 30 days.
Repeat course if necessary.
Contraindications
Hypercalcemia;
Severe vascular calcification;
Individual intolerance to components.
Precautions
Although calcium acetate replenishes calcium deficiency (bioavailability approx. 32%), during pregnancy it should be used only in cases of absolute necessity.

Pregnancy and lactation
Use is possible only if absolutely necessary and under medical supervision.
Storage conditions
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C.

Carton box contains 3 blisters of 10 tablets each and an instruction leaflet.
