Composition
Each Mosapride 5 mg tablet contains
Mosapride citrate — 5 mg.
Pharmacological properties
Mosapride is a selective agonist of 5-HT₄-serotonin receptors:
1. Stimulates gastrointestinal motility
Accelerates gastric emptying.
Improves peristalsis of the esophagus, stomach and intestines.
2. Reduces symptoms of dyspepsia
Reduces the feeling of fullness, heaviness, nausea.
Can relieve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux.
Indications for use
Functional dyspepsia
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Delayed gastric emptying (including diabetic gastroparesis).
Method of administration and dosage
Usually taken 5 mg 3 times a day, before meals.
The tablet should be taken with water without chewing.
The dosage may be changed by the doctor depending on the patient's condition.
