Overview
Co-Trimoxazole Oral Suspension is a banana-flavoured antibacterial and antiprotozoal medicine containing sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim, produced by Medical Union Pharmaceuticals, in a 120 ml bottle.
Key Benefits
This combination antibiotic is indicated for respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and gastrointestinal infections including shigellosis and traveller's diarrhoea. It is also used for otitis media and for Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PCP).
How to Use
Use as directed by your pharmacist or physician, completing the full course as prescribed.

Precautions
For use under medical guidance. Inform your pharmacist of any known allergy to sulfa-containing medicines, kidney or liver conditions, or blood disorders before use. Not recommended during pregnancy or in very young infants unless advised by a doctor. Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve early.
